Upon installing these GL1800/F6B LIGHT MOUNT BRACKETS - LOWER MIRROR AUXILIARY LIGHT MOUNTS, you need to follow normal procedures that apply to prevent dropping any hardware into the body cavity of the bike.These brackets fit perfect, lining up just right using stock mirror mounting holes, using the longer (provided) machine screws. Replacing the stock Boot Cover can be a bit of a pain. Your choices are cut around it to fit the best you can, but expect a somewhat sloppy fit or: take the time, measure on the boot where the bracket would normally protrude through, then remove the new brackets, slicing a clean rectangular size slice out of the boot the same dimension of the bracket itself, then sliding a (tight fitting) boot from the back through the boot, then reattaching it to the OEM mirror holes. This can seem difficult, requires much patience and don't get angry, because it is tough, but the results will be a super clean fit with a low probability of any leaking. Really like the craftsmanship that was put into making these brackets. Plus they are $20 less than another set I saw on another site. Those required cutting the Rubber Boot, which I really didn't care to do and compromise the water proofing abilities of the boot. Also had a question about the install and it was answered quickly. Great product!!

These brackets are very well made with thick gauge steal. They fit perfectly between the mirror bracket and the frame for a very solid connection. I was able to use the stock screws but some might want to use slightly longer screws for more assurance. They are very sturdy and can handle a fairly heavy light. The brackets are in the way of using the Air Wings so if you want to use the Air Wings you'll have to do some modification. Still this bracket is a solid base that a creative rider could figure out. I looked long and hard and this is currently the best bracket available on the market for the Gold Wing to hang auxiliary lighting. [SoCalMotoGear] : NEW VERSION NOW WORKS WITH AIRWINGS!

Just installed the F6B Lower Mirror Brackets, perfect fit, very sturdy. These are very well made and a great place to mount extra forward facing lighting.
