Warranty Guidelines

 

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS: In the absence of written agreement by Purchaser accepting these terms and conditions, acceptance by Purchaser of any goods covered by this invoice or order shall constitute acceptance of all of these terms and conditions, which shall form the entire contract between Purchaser and SOCALMOTOGEAR. SOCALMOTOGEAR's failure to object to any other or contrary provisions contained in Purchaser’s order, or in any other communications between Purchasers and SOCALMOTOGEAR, shall NOT be deemed a waiver of any of these terms and conditions.


30 Day return policy: We accept all returns that ONLY meet the following conditions with no restocking fee:

  • Return requests must be made within 30 days from the date of shipment.

  • Products must be in original, un-installed, un-opened manufacturers' packaging and in brand new condition (just as you received it) to be eligible for return.
    Missing parts will be charged a 30% restocking fee upon receipt of returned item

  • Discontinued, Closeout, and Closeout Ebay items are not eligible for returns.

Restocking fee:

  • Upon receipt and verification of returned item, there will be a 30% restocking fee if the returned item appears to be used, installed and or missing cables/parts/accessories. 

  • Shipping and handling fees are not refunded as they are paid to 3rd party carriers. 

ALL WARRANTY REQUESTS REQUIRES PROOF OF PURCHASE (INVOICE/RECEIPT) from an authorized dealer/distributor.
*For all warranty replacements, we charge a small shipping/handling fee to process and ship the replacement.

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: SOCALMOTOGEAR/PATHFINDERLED PRODUCTS:
Do not be fooled by overrated "lifetime" warranties from other manufacturers and distributors. The warranty is only as good as what the company actually replaces.

SoCalMotoGear warrants to the original purchaser that goods will be free from defects in workmanship & assembly from one year following date of receipt whether purchased direct or from an authorized dealer/distributor. Proof of purchase (receipt/invoice) required. At our option, we may repair or replace defective items with the same or similar selling item, or refund the cost of the defective item(s). There is no additional warranty for the replacement part, only where the warranty had left off within the 1 year coverage. Customer pays for shipping and handling charges that are associated with the warranty replacement item(s). This warranty does not cover any damage caused by accident, misuse, modifications or failure to follow instructions. There are no express warranties beyond those set forth herein. Under no circumstances we will reimburse for any labor or shop charges. We are not responsible for shipping or return freight charges. Our warranty only applies within the United States. International customers must contact their dealers for specific dealer warranty policies which differ from country to country.

HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE:
For warranty service, contact us at: Service@SoCalMotoGear.com and describe the nature of the problem. If you placed the order online at our website, please include the order number. If you purchased thru an authorized dealer, please include a copy of the receipt that should clearly show the item and date of purchase. Include any pictures or videos which can be helpful. We cannot process any warranty requests without proof of purchase from an authorized dealer.
Customer pays for shipping and handling charges that are associated with the warranty replacement item(s). Customer service or our support technicians may ask you to return the faulty product for testing and analysis before we ship you the replacement part.

WARRANTY PARTS/SHIPPING:

Warranty coverage is within the United States only. International customers please contact your dealer. We will only ship to US addresses for replacements. Standard shipping for warranty parts (in-stock items) are typically shipped within 1-2 business days. Delivery time may vary depending on your location. Under no circumstances will SoCalMotoGear express or overnight warranted or non-warranted part(s) for any reason. In some circumstances we may accept customer payment to overnight certain parts based on stock availability. This is not a guaranteed service and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Non-returnable Items:

•  Items that are damaged or abused

•  Opened DVD or CDs cannot be returned for a refund or exchange.

•  Labor, delivery and/or completed SoCalMotoGear™ installation services.

•  Non-defective special order item(s).

•  Caps / Hats.

•  Shipping charges.

CONDENSATION POLICY (ALL PATHFINDERLED PRODUCTS):

We will replace a unit under warranty only if the light (LED) is not working; does not light. Warranty does not cover condensation as this could be a result of riding in different extreme weather conditions. It may be completely normal that there is some moisture/condensation inside the housing. We have designed the product(s) with proper ventilation for the moisture to evaporate.

Condensation does not cause a problem with normal operation of the light and is, therefore, NOT considered to be a defect or warrantable condition. 

In fact, most LED lamps are designed to allow moisture to escape and not reenter, but it takes time for the moisture to evaporate (the amount of time will depend upon whether or not the light is turned on or not).

Virtually all lights are prone to condensate due to the following events:

*Air is trapped inside a lamp when manufactured
*Plastic parts used in lights naturally absorb moisture that mixes with air
*As the light heats up these plastics parts release moisture that mixes with air
*Moisture attaches itself to the coolest part of the lamp, e.g. the lens
*Halogen lamps tend to run hot so the moisture evaporate, so it can be more noticeable
*LED lights produce less heat so moisture takes longer to evaporate, so it can be more noticeable

LIMITATION OF THIS WARRANTY:

SOCALMOTOGEAR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES IMPLIED UNDER LAW SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY & WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOCALMOTOGEAR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. SOCALMOTOGEAR DOES NOT REIMBURSE FOR ANY LABOR/SHOP CHARGES. SOCALMOTOGEAR’S LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WHATSOEVER SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF THIS INVOICE.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

By installing/purchasing/using our product(s), You the customer agree that our liability to you or any other third party in any circumstances relating to the use of our site, service and/or product(s) provided by SoCalMotoGear/ SoCalMotoGear.com/ GoldWingHIDs/ GoldWingLEDs/ PATHFINDERLED/ TRUHIDS on the site and the company or its dealers is limited to the maximum amount of the product purchased price. Furthermore, we shall have no liability whatsoever for special or consequential damages, such as shop labor rates, and or lost profits, lost sales or any other incidental damages, regardless of whether your claim arises in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, acts of god/nature or under any other legal theory (and regardless of whether your claim arises by way of statue or otherwise). SOCALMOTOGEAR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES IMPLIED UNDER LAW SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY & WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOCALMOTOGEAR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. SOCALMOTOGEAR DOES NOT REIMBURSE FOR ANY LABOR/SHOP CHARGES. SOCALMOTOGEAR’S LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WHATSOEVER SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF THIS INVOICE.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS - SHIPMENTS:
All applicable VAT, PST, HST, and/or GSTS charges along with brokerage fees will be the responsibility of the customer and due at the time of delivery.

If you have a problem and the item was not purchased directly from our website but rather thru an authorized dealer, please contact the dealer that sold you the product. If you purchased directly from our website, then you would email our service department. Customer pays for shipping both ways if we authorize parts to be replaced.
